Services
Both Information and Wheelchair Hire services are now under one roof. Our premises are located in the basement of the Registry Office, Tower Hill, Haverfordwest adjacent to Haverfordwest Library (just across the steep road down to the car park). We are the pale yellow building with a sign saying "PIPPA Information" and a red door.
Information Service
Based in The Basement of the Registry Office at Tower Hill in Haverfordwest, the Information Centre offers level access for wheelchair users and parking within easy reach of the Centre.
The centre offers opportunities for volunteering, training for work as well as acting as a public centre for the provision of information. We also have internet facilities and can make searches for information for clients. A form filling service is also available by appointment. We all know how daunting it can be to receive one of those disability benefits forms to fill in. Don't be put off, call us, we can help. We can come out to see you at home if you are unable to come into see us
The Centre carries information on various subjects including holidays, local attractions, benefits, various types of equipment and staff will find information on any subject requested by using telephone, internet and other local organisations. You can contact us on 01437 760665 or e-mail us at pippapembs@btconnect.com

P.I.P.P.A. Wheelchair Hire
Equipment Hire
Originally set up in 1996 to offer a Wheelchair Hire Scheme that would enable those with limited mobility the opportunity to hire a wheelchair, enabling easy access to the local shops and businesses. The scheme soon grew and scooters and other walking aids were bought and added to the inventory.
Bookings were soon being made, not only by Pembrokeshire residents but also by visitors to the area. A holiday booking service was soon added as well as a delivery service. All these services are still being offered today with the inclusion of personal care aids such as showerchairs, bathlifts and bathboards for hire. If you are coming to Pembrokeshire on holiday, getting all the equipment that you might need in a car can leave little room for general luggage. Let us meet your needs and deliver all the equipment that you require to your holiday venue. Telephone Wheelchair Hire on 01437 760999 or e-mail us at wheelchairhire@pippa-pembs.org.uk and make your booking.

And we can give away copies of "A Guide to Pembrokeshire for People with Disabilities". This book is several years old and not entirely up to date, but you may find much of it useful. It is a list, town by town, of establishments such as shops, pubs and places of worship in Pembrokeshire, and facilities (parking, disabled toilets etc.) versus less helpful features such as long staircases!
Please pop in to pick up any of the above between 10am and 3:30pm.
The Blue Badge Service
The Blue Badge Service was handed back to Pembrokeshire County Council on 31st March 2008.
This change means that the service is available at more centres throughout the county. Applications can be made either by Telephone on 01437 764551 or in person at local County Council Offices in the main Pembrokeshire towns.
You will be asked some questions then given a form to take to your doctor, who will fill it in. The process may take a few weeks, so please allow plenty of time. Don't forget you can make an appointment with us to get help with any difficult forms!
We would ask Blue badge holders to use their badges responsibly and to ensure that they are kept safely when not in use.
