Wheelchair Services
Our Wheelchair Hire service is open 10:00 to 3:30 from Monday to Friday. Call us on 01437 760 999 or e-mail us at wheelchairhire@pippa-pembs.org.uk. Mrs Valerie Stevenson has run this service for many years, and she can also advise you on what type of equipment you are likely to need.
We hire out self-propelled and electric wheelchairs, scooters, beach wheelchairs and other disability aids.
Equipment can be delivered within Pembrokeshire and west Carmarthenshire for a small fee. Please give us a few days' notice.
We cater for both local people and holidaymakers.

PIPPA has two beach wheelchairs for hire, but you may be able to find others closer to you, especially if you are on the coast. You can check their locations here.
Visitors to Pembrokeshire
Taking disability equipment on holiday can fill up the back of your car. By hiring from us, you can avoid the hassle! If given a little notice, we can usually deliver equipment to your holiday venue - most places know us and can put it somewhere safe until you arrive.
There is a little paperwork to be completed, so it's best to contact us well in advance. We will take your details - we will need your permanent and holiday addresses - and send you a form to fill in, and send back to us with payment. We will then send you a receipt. If you wish, you can do this in person by visiting our office.
Long term hire
Long term hire is available in certain circumstances and discretionary discounts can be applied.
Buying & Selling
Please check out our Marketplace page. We have handy items such as badges, stickers and RADAR keys to sell, and certain items of equipment. There are also a few third parties advertising their equipment to sell on our pages.
History
Originally set up in 1996 to offer a Wheelchair Hire Scheme that would enable those with limited mobility the opportunity to hire a wheelchair, enabling easy access to the local shops and businesses. The scheme soon grew and scooters and other walking aids were bought and added to the inventory.
Bookings were soon being made, not only by Pembrokeshire residents but also by visitors to the area. A holiday booking service was soon added as well as a delivery service. All these services are still being offered today with the inclusion of personal care aids such as showerchairs, bathlifts and bathboards for hire. If you are coming to Pembrokeshire on holiday, getting all the equipment that you might need in a car can leave little room for general luggage. Let us meet your needs and deliver all the equipment that you require to your holiday venue.
